I love the IKEA example! It happens to be one of my favorite stores. I look forward to getting their catalog every single year, and this year, I got mine and thought there was something seriously off with it, but I couldn't place it... It was bugging me until I finally heard all about the controversy of how they replaced it with Verdana! Insanity. I actually wrote my research paper for this class about it.
ReplyDeletelove The Senator photo! a very different look at neon type, I think. It looks classic and classy with the help of the typefaces of course. it's unlike most hum-drum neon signs today and thats what makes it unique!
